Completing part year resident returns for NY and CT. What order should this be done for the reciprocal tax to work out?
Started off 2017 in NY then moved in June to CT. I worked for a company in NY for all of 2017, my wife worked for a company in CT for all of 2017. What order do I complete the state returns. TurboTax for CT state says I need figures for NY before working through the credit and vice versa.

As a resident of CT on December 31, 2017, you would file the NY part-year return first. Then, complete a part-year CT return for yourself and a resident CT return for your wife. See information below:
