I live in Missouri but work in Kansas so I've been filling out the MO-CR form for years. This is the first time this error has ever showed up in TurboTax when I run the review.
I looked on past year returns but this isn't on them
Under the section titled "Claimant's total Missouri subtractions from the other state smart worksheet?"
on line B it wants me to fill in a number for "Claimant's total Missouri subtractions from the other state"
I'm not sure what it's asking. Where would I find what it's looking for? Maybe somewhere on my Kansas return?

Claimant's total Missouri subtractions from the other state is income that is exempt from Missouri tax but was included in your other state’s return. Some of the most common are state tax refunds, military pay, and retirement pay.
For Kansas specifically, you would have to enter any social security, military pay, or tier 1 Railroad benefits included as income on the Kansas return. Also, if you have capital gains (from stocks, real estate, cryptocurrency, etc.) that were included in your Kansas nonresident return, they must be included here. Note that since you are filing a nonresident Kansas return, these items would be unlikely included as income in your case. It may possibly apply if you moved during the year or had incentive stock options from the Kansas employment.
For your 2025 tax return, on the Kansas return, check Schedule S, Part B- this is the incentive stock options that are new.

Thank you for clearing that up for me
