City tax paid but not witheld by employer

Post office does not withhold local city tax. We have to file a city tax form. Do i get a deduction for this?

Yes you can get a deduction for this.

To enter this in TurboTax do the following:

go to Federal Tax tab,

then to Deductions and Credits

scroll down to Estimates and Other taxes paid, 

and click on "Other Income Taxes" 

and then go to bottom area and enter this under, 

Balance Due on the 2015 local taxes paid in 2016, and this is where you enter it.

Yes you can get a deduction for this.
