Recently my company switch payroll companies. As a result, taxes started being taken out for a city/county I don’t work or live in. I contacted our payroll and they fixed it, but what do I do now that it was already taken out for 3 months and it’s on my W2?

You file a tax return for that city to seek a refund of the tax that was withheld, since you did not live or work there. TurboTax only helps with a few city returns, so unless you are dealing with one of those cities, you will likely have to get the form from the city's website and prepare it yourself.

If you are in Ohio, the city usually has a special refund form for your situation (that Turbo tax doesn't have). You should contact the city (or RITA or CCA) to see if they use a special refund form,
