cannot file state return as it states claimed a solar or wind credit or carry forward. How can I correct this?

If this is on your NY state return, please follow the steps below to clear the error message:

1. Open your return.
2. Go to State return
3. Continue through the return.
4. On the page, Take a look at New York credits and taxes, scroll down to Unused Solar Energy Credit Carryover from Prior Years.
5. On the following Credit Carryover Earned in Prior Years, check if there is any amount. Delete any 0.
