Can't Efile California due to form 540 line 12, no W2

Ttax desktop will not let me efile my California return.   Form 540 line 12

requires input from W2.     I am retired, and don't get a W2, no employer income.

How do I complete form 540 line 12, or a non existent W2 to allow efile?

Do you have any income at all that is subject to CA taxes?

Yes but I have no W2 wages, thus did not receive a W2.  I am retired and get SS and have RMD income.

For others facing this, I did a work around.     I created a W2 and put $1 in all applicable boxes.   I needed to include EIN and address from my previous employer.     If you have one delete Form 8453.

Turbo then said the return could be efiled.     I have filed and am waiting for approvals from Ca. FTB
