Can I pay NC state tax that I owe online and then file a paper return

So, I owe NC state tax and I am going to be filing by paper. I was wondering if I can pay online on their portal, the amount I owe and then file by paper, and if I do that where am I supposed to mail the return as their website gives an address which states payment needs to be enclosed if you owe money.

Yes you can make your payment online. 

You will mail to the address for tax returns that have a tax balance due.

If you pay online, your payment should be reflected in their system depending upon when you make the payment.

You can, but if you are paying online, your payment will already be reflected in their system.

And yes, that is the correct address.
