What is a "certified" CO return? If you did it in TurboTax, it's self-prepared. The best you could do is print out a copy, sign and date. If you e-filed, you can also print out the e-file acceptance.
To receive a certified version, you cannot simply download it; you must submit a formal request and have it processed by the state.
Use the official Request for Copy of Tax Returns (DR 5714) form.
On the form, you must explicitly check the box for a "Certified Copy" rather than just a standard copy. For security and identity protection, your signature on Form DR 5714 must be notarized before submission.
The Colorado Department of Revenue does not accept these requests via fax, email, or digital upload due to the requirement for original signatures. Mail the notarized form to:
