Can I continue to file as CA resident even though I have lived in UT & CT in 2020? I have a CA drivers' license and a mailing address in CA and travel there often.

Two-thirds of my income is CA based; the balance is SS. At age 81 I really don't want to change what has worked for 10 years.

Yes, you could be a California resident.  California is your domicile- which is your permanent and primary residence that you intend to return to and/or remain in after being away.

As long as you intend to keep California your domicile and do not take affirmative steps to abandon your domicile, you can file as California resident.

A resident is any individual who is present in California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose, and domiciled in California, but outside California for a temporary or transitory purpose.

NOTE However, you can only have one domicile, but some states have special rules that make you a resident.  For example, if you maintained a permanent place of abode in Connecticut and spent more than 183 days in the state, you are also considered to be a resident.
