I paid the annual $800 LLC tax on time, back in 2025. But on my Turbotax CA form 568, it shows I paid the $800 but then says I overpaid $800 and am due a refund of $800, which doesn't make sense as I'm not due a refund.
Line 8, 12, 14, 17, 19 show $800
What seems to be missing is line 3 and 7 show "0" when I think it should show $800, which would then show that I owed $800, I paid $800 and thus no further tax should be due, and no refund needed. Any ideas how to fix this?

Did you mark this as your final return? If so, TurboTax will remove the LLC fee and show a refund for the amount you paid. To fix this, go back and uncheck the box for "final." This will show zero tax due for the current year. Then next year, file a "final" return with no activity.
Thanks for the reply. I did mark "Final". I closed the LLC in Dec 2025, so technically shouldn't this 2025 return be the Final and not 2026? It feels weird to file an "empty" final return next year for the LLC. Plus I would like to just close the LLC out and not worry about it next year. Also, if I don't file the final return this year, will CA consider my LLC still open and I'd have to pay another $800 in 2026?
What if I just leave it marked as final as-is? At the end of the form it says I owe nothing further (which is true), could I just leave it?
If Form CA568 does not show a refund for the LLC fee, then you can check the box as a final return. Other users have not had that fortunate experience.
