I live in California, it is wanting to file Illinois state tax. How do i make it change?

At the very beginning of the interview, where TurboTax elicits "personal" information, TurboTax asks what state you're a resident of, if you lived in another state during the year, and if you earned any income in another state.  Obviously you ticked "Illinois" somewhere along the line.  Go work through that interview again.
