Here are the instructions for removing your PA state return, for desktop and TurboTax Online.
Follow these steps to delete a state return in TurboTax Desktop for Windows:
With your return open in TurboTax, from the File menu, choose Remove State Return.
Select the return you want to delete and then select Remove.
Choose Yes to confirm.
Or
You can delete your state return in TurboTax Online as long as you haven't paid yet.

Open or continue your return.
Select State Taxes from Tax Home.
On the Status of your state returns screen, select the trash can icon next to your state, then select Delete.
Alternatively, you can skip this step of deleting the state, and just choose to e-file only the federal return on its own, as these can be filed separately.
Pennsylvania does not impose state income tax on most retirement income, including Social Security, public/private pensions, and 401(k)/IRA withdrawals, provided the recipient is eligible. However, seniors must still pay PA state taxes on other income sources like wages or investment income.
