AR1000DD not calculating Autism credit correctly in Turbotax

For some reason, it's not calculating the tax credit for having kids with Autism, only if I pick that they're totally disabled. It appears this is not working, but is working in competitor products correctly, however, I need to amend my return with turbotax and need you guys to fix this

Follow these steps:

  1. Open to AR
  2. Continue through looking for Any Disabled Dependents?
  3. Select yes
  4. Edit the dependent with autism
  5. Select Autism from the dropdown box
  6. continue answering questions

I'm not stupid

This isn't working, nothing changes from selecting this and not selecting it

Try it yourself. Selecting autism does absolutely nothing to the refund or due number

I checked the box for permanently and totally disabled. Once the box is checked, the amount due on my return drops instantly. You seem to be having another issue.

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

Online version:

  1. Delete the state information worksheet- if possible, see How to Delete
  2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
    • Don't use Internet Explorer.
    • Clear cache and cookies,
    • Sign in using a different browser.
    • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
    • Enter the information again.

Desktop version:

  1. Delete the state information worksheet
  2. Save your return while closing the program.
  3. Update the program
  4. Open
  5. Enter the information again.

If you still are not able to get the credit, you need to contact support.
