Add PA-20s to 2022 return

If you need to prepare or amend a tax year 2022 business return to report a Pennsylvania S-Corp, you will need to purchase and install TurboTax Business for that year, available here.

Once you have installed the main program, you can download and install the Pennsylvania module from within your return by clicking the States tab. Follow the instructions to add PA to your S-Corp return. Form PA PA-S is included in that module.

Add PA-20s to 2022 return

So even though the business is a sole prop - I still need to purchase a business product to file one form?

That link shows home and business is $130- but I already purchased the ‘home/personal’ product.  Is there a less expensive business add on?

The whole reason I changed it to sole prop is that the costs were too great and the income was not there.  I was getting tired of personally funding the business

It depends. When you say Sole Prop, did you file papers with the state to form a company?  If so, what are you classified as?

If you have a sole proprietorship in PA, then no, you do not need to upgrade to the business product.

Home and Business will cover everything you need.  It will report your income for your federal return on Schedule C and then on PA 40 Schedule C.

The only time as a sole proprietor that you would have to purchase the business product as a separate product is if you chose to be treated as an S corp.  If you chose to be treated as an S Corp, then yes, you will need to separately purchase TurboTax Business to file the 1120S
