2023 Free State Download not offered

I do not have the option available to download my Free State although TurboTax Premier offered 1 free state download.  I required multiple states (NJ, PA, NC, MN) and paid for those, however, I still need to download NY and it does not offer the free download.  It is available per the availability page, but the only offer it to pay.  I am waiting to download this state form until this can be resolved.

There are two ways to download your State program.  

• Through the program Online menu
• Through TurboTax.com

Are you sure one of the other states wasn't free?  It usually is whichever state you download first is the free one.    Why did you pay for states before getting the free one?  Does it matter which one is free?

I tried this method and it prompts me to pay for the state.  I've already paid for 4 and was not able to get the included state for free,

Hi-  It does not matter which one is free   I was downloading 4 and expected to pay for 3, but it charged me for 4

@Schmeidb Are you using the TurboTax Basic edition?  If so, it does not include a free state download.

Or did you purchase the 2023 software from another retailer?  If so, the Deluxe edition from retailers other than TurboTax will have the Deluxe edition with and without a free state program download.  Look at the box if you have a CD or go to the retailer website to see how the Download is listed.

I purchased TurboTax Premier from Amazon with a Free State.  Looks like I will need to contact support as this has not happened before.  I've been using it for 15+ years.    Thanks for the reply though !
