I'm trying to open my 2021 Georgia State Taxes.
I reinstalled TurboTax desktop; however, when I try to open my old .2021 file, it tries to download the state software, but fails:
1. Let's get your georgia state files
2. then it says
Hmm... it looks like we’ve hit a slight snag

Have you tried downloading the state from your prior year downloads?
Go to "Intuit Account" Under "How do I switch my license code from one operating system to another?" on this help article: How do I get started with TurboTax Desktop?
Sign in and let me know if you're able to download GA 2021.
I have the same problem. I am trying to download 2021 California desktop version. Any guidance will be appreciated.
that doesn't work. i have a windows license and need a windows copy, so that's good.
i just can't get the State file to download
Turbo Tax only supports the last 3 years so you can't download or update 2021 and prior. Even if you do get 2021 installed you might not be able to activate it or update it or download any state programs you need.
I'm having the exact same problem, as I need the PA state download for 2021. I don't care if it's updated or supported; Turbotax shouldn't be deleting my access to programs that I purchased. I don't need to do anything to my state return. It isn't affected. But I need to make a minor amendment to my 2021 federal return.
If Intuit is going to completely block our ability to access the program we purchased (and I too have my license code; the original install as a different computer), the company needs to include in big type, NEVER SWITCH COMPUTERS OR DELETE THIS PROGRAM BECAUSE WE TIME-LIMIT YOUR ABILITY TO ACCESS THE PROGRAM, SO YOU WON'T HAVE ACCESS IF YOU NEED TO DO AN UPDATE MORE THAN 3 YEARS FROM NOW.
This is tax software, not Angry Birds. How can Intuit just block access like this?
