1099 R

Hi, in Ohio,  entering my 1099 R for state taxes paid in box 14. My form does not have a box 16. In the TurboTax windows software I purchased and downloaded, it will not let me proceed without entering something in box 16.

Called TurboTax. Was told to DELETE the taxes I paid in box 14. I was then able to go forward. But NOW I owe the state! This can't be right?

Please help.

It isn't right, you need the taxes entered from the 1099-R.   This situation is being addressed; we will be updating the software.   You can sign up for notifications from this TurboTax FAQ to track the progress.
