I am new to TurboTax, so I need to manually enter the amount from last year's tax return and am not seeing how to do that.

To manually navigate and enter the amount in TurboTax:

Open TurboTax.
On the left side menu, select Federal.
Scroll down to Deductions & Credits.
On the Your tax breaks screen, scroll down to See all tax breaks.
Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, click on Show more, then scroll down to Income Taxes Paid, then select Start or Revisit.
On the Income Taxes Paid screen, scroll down to 2021 Refund Applied to 2022, then 2021 refund applied to 2022 state taxes, select Start.
On the How much of your 2021 state refund did you apply to your 2022 state taxes? screen, enter your state (from the drop down menu) and enter the amount.
Select Done and continue with the onscreen interview until complete.
