When I was going to file my taxes for the state in California they told me not to and to wait does anyone know when I should file them?

If I already filed my state return before the tax break what do I need to do? I noticed my updated turbotax refund number for California is a lot more than I received. How can I get the extra money owed to me? Do I need to file an amended state return?
