What does this mean "Other payment should not be entered when other states withholding is not entered on the federal return (line 13 of Colorado Tax Payments worksheet)"?

    OK the program is correct and it does get entered in the Federal area and I will show you how to do this.

    To enter CO Form 1079 payment

    •    Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
    •    Click on Deductions and Credits
    •    Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)

    Estimates and Other taxes paid.•    Scroll down to Other Income Taxes
    •    On Other Income Taxes, click on the start or update button

    Go to bottom one under Other Income taxes paid

    then enter this payment in the section not on a W-2 or 1099, and you will select CO in the drop-down and enter the amount paid.

    From the sale of a rental home in Colorado.  We have a 1079 form 2018 Payment of Withholding Tax
    on Certain Colorado Real Property Interest Transfers.
