Hello.

For state tax filing their is the following question.

Do I have any income from out of state?

E.g. Rental property.

I do have a property in the UK for rental, do I need to add this for this specific question?

Is another country out of state?

FYI - This is for state not federal filing.

Thank you.

Yes, according to this link, South Carolina will tax you on all your worldwide income if you are domiciled in the state, even though you may not be a resident there.  So when it asks if you have any income from out of state, you will say yes.

It depends. To clarify, have you added this rental in your federal return? Also, what state are you preparing?

I am preparing for the state of South Carolina.

Thanks

Interesting, first time filing so want to get it right!

Its strange as when I report my income my refund goes up in turbotax! I thought it be the opposite

Thank you for the support DaveF1006
