Question

Though I filed Federal, Ohio and Michigan tax returns, I can only download the Michigan return in Turbotax. How do I download the Federal and Ohio return?

Yes, all the filed returns can be downloaded. From the Print Center, you will need to check the boxes for all the returns that you want to view.

To do this in TurboTax, follow these steps:

  1. From the left menu, select Tax Tools
  2. Print Center
  3. Click Print, save or preview this year's return
  4. Mark the boxes for the returns you want to download
  5. Follow through the rest of the prompts based on how much detail you want to save for your PDF.
  6. When the PDF opens, there is another area in the top corner of this window to select download or print.

Below is the reply I sent to KathrynG3 on Saturday. Because of some problem the reply to that email I have not seen a reply. The suggestions, as described below, did not help. My email included screen shots in an effort to further clarify my problem. Yesterday I revisited Turbotax and still found the same problem, I can only find my Michigan return and not my Ohio or the Federal returns.

Hello KathrynG3,

Thank you  for your reply.

From the left menu I see nothing about "Tax Tools" or "Print Center." Please see the screenshot below. These options don't appear by selecting either "Tax Home" or "Documents." However, from "Tax Home" page there is an option near the top of the page and in the center to "Download/print return." That follows the statement "Harold, your 2019 federal return was accepted!" When selecting that option the download is only the Michigan return. There is no federal or Ohio return included.

If I select "Documents" from the menu on the left, the "Documents" page near the top on the upper right shows the option to "Download tax PDF." If I select that option I also only get the Michigan tax form without federal or Ohio tax filings.

Please let me know what I am missing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Harold

Log back into TurboTax

  1. Click on add a state button (you are not adding a state, this is just to get you back into the return)
  2. You should then see Tax Tools and Print Center on the left black menu

Follow these steps:
