Iowa Form 148 - School Tuition Organization tax credit

TurboTax is requiring 12 digit certificate number for the school organization tax credit (same as last year). The School Tuition Organization says the state changed the certificate numbers so they can be shorter this year & all tax software companies were notified. Will there be an update to correct this?

I spoke with TurboTax support about this late last week. In my case, the problem identified here is occurring in the desktop version. It has not been fixed as of this time.

I have spoken with one of the Iowa Tuition Credit organizations and they have provided me with clear documentation from the Iowa Department of Revenue outlining the changes which are needed in TurboTax. So, if someone from TurboTax will provide contact information to me, I can contact you and we can get this matter fixed.

The certificate number was a confirmed issue and has been corrected as of 02/23/2023.
