Question

In 2020, I lived first 9 months in MD and moved to MA, where I now live. The Personal info summary shows Maryland as my Resident state. This is not true. What to do?

You need to change your address in My Info/Personal Info  so that it has your current address--you want to use the address where you would want to receive mail from the IRS now.  You can still indicate on the interview screens that you lived/worked in MD for part of the year and moved to MA.  The interview questions will walk you through that.  You will end up filing part year returns for each state.

Incase you need to see a bit more.....When you do Edit the information for Yourself (And spouse if married and living together).

 

Go to the My Info section

....Hit the "Edit" next to the line with your name

........check your name and B.Date, SSN etc, but scroll Scroll down to the state of residence section , and that's where you fix the state you live in now, and the state you moved from in part "2." as shown below:
