Question

I receive alimony from my spouse that lives and works in CT. I live in FL. Do I file FL taxes or CT state taxes for the alimony?

Florida has no state income tax filing requirements for individuals. You would only file a federal return.

Ok, so I wouldn't file something like a nonresident return in CT because income was actually earned in CT?
