I owe California $20 for state tax. AGI is less than $30,000 & I qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit . Will I get the $600 Golden State stimulus check?

On Form 540 line 75, it says "$32" on the EITC, even though I owe $20 to the state.

Possibly. How much you receive will depend if you otherwise meet the criteria. You must have a social security number (SSN) or individual tax identification number (ITIN), too.

The directions do not specify the amount of the earned income credit or whether you have a tax balance due.

It is tied to your adjusted gross income, which must be less than $75,000.
