Question

I lived only in FL in 2018. I had pay from prior employer in Missouri in 2018 for stock options earned in a prior year. MO tax was withheld. Should get tax back from MO?

If I should not be paying the MO tax, should I have my W-2 reissued so that my residency (W-4 info) is accurate on the W-2?

Follow-up question:  Thanks Michael.  Would this be considered Income from Missouri Sources?  And is that taxable?

Due to W-2 and was earned in MO, you are going to have to file a MO non-resident return to get some or all of the taxes withheld back.

How much you get back will determine on the income taxed by MO.
