Question

I live in TN and we do not have state taxes. However when I log into my TurboTax account it says TN STATE “started”

Is this what it should say in my account? It seems like it should say “finished” or “N/A” beside my state taxes but I can’t seem to change the status from “Started”

You are correct, Tennessee taxes only dividend and interest income. If you do not have this type of income you are not required to file a state return.

As long as you have not paid for the state return, you can remove it. See below link.
