I have filed my 2017 Fed and State rtns but when I download the rtns all I get is 10 pgs Fed and 15 State. All prior yrs rtns are around 100 pgs. What is wrong?

The only Fed pgs that I receive are:

2018 Voucher pgs 1 to 4

1040 pgs 1 & 2

Sched B

Sched D pgs 1& 2

Form 8949 - Attachment 12A & pg2

I don't use the online program so perhaps things are different between "online" and "desktop", but in the desktop program when I go to print my income tax return - and it's the "print" function that creates a PDF that I can look at or save - I'm presented with three options:

Tax Return only
Tax Return, key calculation worksheets
Tax Return, all calculation worksheets

Option number 1 creates the smallest number of pages printed as it presents the income tax return I'm actually sending to the IRS. Option number 3 creates the largest number of pages printed as it essentially is a dump of every single page where TurboTax scribbled even one number. And option 2 is somewhere between option 1 and option 3 in size.

Sounds to me like you're selection option 1 here where in the past you probably selected option 3.

I have always used the online version and I have never been given the options that you say the desktop version presents. From your explanation of the desktop options it sounds like I am receiving option 1.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and Click on Add a state

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
