Question

How can I actually SPEAK to a customer service rep for a refund on my filing fees?

Turbo Tax is blocking my efile for my state taxes.  I want a refund of my fees so I can print and file by US mail.  I've tried a couple of different ways - via customer support question but it never goes further after I enter my issue.  I've tried 2 different phone numbers - one from my receipt and one from the internet.  Both go to automated systems where what I need isn't an option.  This is SHAMEFUL!  I've used Turbo Tax for 30+ years but next year I will move to a different product/service unless I can get this issue resolved.

Are you asking about the 24.99 state efile fee in the Desktop program?  Don't use the word Refund.  Say Billing Issue instead.

Contact Customer Service  You need to pick the CD/Download program in the product drop down box.

We're sorry this happened.  We can refund this, but we need to speak with you to do so.

Wait times are very high today, you will get through more quickly if you can wait to contact us after the tax filing deadline.  I expect wait times to drop a great deal beginning the week of July 20 - and we are here all year.

Here is how to reach us: Contact TurboTax.  Please list the reason for your contact as a "billing issue" so that our system doesn't think you may be calling about your tax refund.  This will get you routed to the proper department most efficiently.
