Yes, if you live in Pennsylvania the state law requires all taxpayers to file a Local Earned Income Tax Return.

TurboTax doesn't prepare Local Earned Income Tax returns for the State of Pennsylvania, you would have to file the local return on your own. Berkheimer is one of the local PA Tax Collectors who will file the Local Earned Income Tax Return.

Go to www.berk-e.com to file local income taxes in Pennsylvania. You can download your return and W2's through turbotax.com .

Ok,

I just seen this. I had no idea I had to do that. I pay the local taxes on my check. I never get anything in the mail from them and i don’t recall them saying anything on Turbo tax to file with them.

it’s been quite a few years. What Am I suppose to do? I’m afraid now to do anything with them.

why don’t turbo tax fine with them? What’s the point of using it if I still need to do stuff on my own? I don’t know how to prepare my own taxes. Turbo tax does all this. For state and federal. Do I need to to go to a tax person to do this separately?

A. No.

It's a simple filing and, for the current year, can be done online. Since, you "pay the local taxes on my check", you will not owe anything and MAY not need to file. Contact your local city tax agency, for what is required. Not all PA cities use the Berkheimer agency.
