Did the oregon energy trust tax credit expire in Oregon, and if so why did I get the credit on my Turbo Tax Oregon form?

The program sunsetted at the end of 2017. However, for taxpayers who earned the credit prior to that time, they had 5 years in which to carry forward the credit in order to use it all.

TurboTax asks you if you received a credit certificate from the Oregon department of Energy, and on the next screen asks for your carry forward amount and how much applies to 2018.

Please see the Oregon instructions for this credit on pages 115 and 116 at https://www.oregon.gov/DOR/forms/FormsPubs/publication-or-17_101-431_2018.pdf
