Deduction of repayment of the Advance Premium Tax Credit

Can I deduct the repayment of the Advance Premium Tax Credit for 2018, if I am repaying it currently in 2019? or

Would I only be able to deduct the repayment in 2019 since it way made then?

Background: sold property from my real estate business and received more income than anticipated. I was received the monthly advance payment of premium tax credit. I made a lot more money and don't qualify for this credit, so I have to pay it back for 2018.

The deduction for the repayment stays on the 2018 tax return; it does not go on the 2019 tax return.

However, don't enter it anywhere. TurboTax automatically puts the deduction where it is supposed to go, so don't enter it again or else it would be double entered.
