Deduction for property tax for business use of the home, and nj income tax property tax deduction
This seems to be a bug in the TurboTax software: when I went through and took the business use of the home deduction for schedule C and the business portion of the property tax, and then went on to the state filing for New Jersey, TurboTax listed the entire property tax amount and if I'd hadn't caught it, I would have taken portion of that deduction twice. TurboTax really needs clear this up and fix this problem or many New Jersey business owners who use a portion of their home are going to take a double deduction without knowing it.
