I do not have a rent certificate and I am not requesting Homestead credit.

It depends. You will need to go back through your state return and remove the entry made regarding the homestead credit. In fact, I suggest removing the state return and then reenter. if in Turbo Tax online.

  1. Log into Turbo Tax
  2. Select state on the left hand side.
  3. When you get to the section that shows the state, delete it with the trash icon.
  4. Reenter the state again and the information will flow to your Turbo Tax return.
  5. Do not enter information regarding the homestead Credit again.
