Just a word of caution... TurboTax (Premier edition 2025) lead me to believe that I could schedule my tax payment to the state of Colorado through TurboTax. Fortunately I am someone who watches my bank account and double checks things. I saw my federal payment (scheduled through TurboTax as direct debit) hit my bank but not my state. After doing a little digging, it appears that some states don't accept direct debit through software so I had to go to the state website to make the payment. Fortunately I made the payment by the tax filing deadline. Someone more trusting might get got thinking everything is taken care of only to find out the state payment was never made, leading to penalties.

You've been warned 🙂

    Yep...you have to be careful.

During the filing process, when selection Direct Debit for one of the states affected...you have to Slow Down and read the pages TTX presents a page that Tells the person that they actually have to pay on that State's website.

A Bit too easy to miss, or misunderstand...thus TTX programmers really need to have a bold headline on that page saying  WARNING.....followed by the directions, so that folks actually stop and read it closely.
