You would only enter self-employment income if you are an Indian registered under the Indian Act and your self-employment income is tax-exempt earnings on a reserve.

You should not include your self- employment

income in the box under Other employment earnings on the "electing to Pay Additional CPP Contributions" form. This form is specifically for reporting additional CPP contributions and does not require the inclusion of self-employed income. Instead, you should report your self-employed income on the appropriate section of your tax return, such as Schedule 8 or Form RC381, depending on your situation.

You may have to make Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributions on your self-employment earnings. See line 22200.
