You would need to contact the organization that issued you the 1099-NEC and have them send you a corrected version with $0 income and a 1099-MISC to replace it.
What is Form 1099-NEC? Who receives Form 1099-NEC?
Starting in tax year 2020, 1099-NEC (non-employee compensation) will be issued to self-employed individuals, like independent contractors, freelancers, or side-giggers who have been paid $600 or more.
No, once you have the corrected version of the 1099-NEC, you omit it entirely. It is not correct information. Just ignore it until you can get the corrected version. You will have to wait until you receive it to file.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. That is what I thought, but greatly appreciate the confirmation. When I file, should I then upload both the corrected NEC version and the correct MISC version. And, should I go back and just delete my entered, but not sent, 1099-NEC on the Turbo Tax software?
