Where can landlords enter OBBBA 2025 vehicle Section 179 and bonus depreciation?

I am a landlord of several properties in different states and don't have another job. I bought a heavy SUV (over 6,000 lbs) in 2025 to aid me in managing the properties. I use the vehicle 75% for business. Where in "TurboTax Home & Business 2025" do I enter this purchase and depreciation information? It's not obvious in EasyStep.

Here is how to enter.

  1. Go to Federal Taxes > Wages & Income
  2. Scroll down to Rental Properties and Royalties and click Start/Revisit.
  3. Proceed through the interview until you reach the Rental and Royalty Summary screen.
  4. Click Edit next to one of your properties (it is best to enter the vehicle under the property it is most associated with).
  5. Once you are in the rental summary On the Review Your [Property Name] Rental Summary screen, look for the Expenses section and click Start/Update next to Vehicle Expenses.
  6. Follow the information. When  you get to a section asking if you wish to take mileage or actual expenses, you will need to select that you wish to take actual expenses to claim the bonus depreciation.

To get the 100% bonus depreciation, the vehicle must be purchased after January 19, 2025. Also, when you enter the purchase price for the vehicle, you will need to adjust that amount by 75% when it asks for the purchase price of the vehicle.

Thanks for your quick reply! I see where I erred initially. After selecting the option for "actual expenses," the next screen listed several expense items, e.g. "Gasoline," but didn't show any lines related to depreciation. I didn't realize that by selecting "Continue," I would proceed to those screens.
