I purchased the self employed version from Sam's Club online. I did my taxes and now I need to do my son's returns. There is nowhere that allows me to create a new return

I'm supposed to be able to do up to 5 returns with this program.

Use the menu in the upper left corner.  Be sure to Save your own return first, then choose File > New Tax Return.

If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.

Did you buy the code for the Desktop download program or the Online version?   Sam’s sells both.   Sounds like you used the Online version.

Online is only good for 1 return per account.  Don’t use your account or you will overwrite your return and it will be gone.  And you have to pay for each account separately so it might get expensive.  Maybe some can use the Free Edition.

You can start another return in TurboTax Online by:

1. Logging out if you are in your account
2. Choose what TurboTax Online product you want to use for the second return
3. Create your account screen
4. Set up a new login for the second return
5. Start working on the new return
