I have my own business - sole proprietor - I had a nanny on payroll last year do I use that towards “expenses - salary” for my business.

And then would I also utilize that amount in the “child care expenses” deductions along with the day care expenses?

You do not put your nanny down on a Schedule C as a business expense--if that is what you are suggesting.

But if you paid someone to take care of your child so that you could work, you can enter the childcare credit.

Federal>Deductions and Credits>You and Your Family>Child and Dependent Care Credit
