    <description>&lt;P&gt;Your question is really a legal question which may depend on the laws in your state.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;The IRS does not require you to be licensed in order to do business as an independent contractor.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You need to find out about the laws in your own state pertaining to licenses and sales tax.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;TurboTax cannot help with that.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
