Schedule payment and amend

I scheduled my tax payment for next 4/01/22 for $87 but later I received a corrected form and had to amend. The amend shows amount due $96. Now I have to send a money order to pay this… what about the $87? Is going to be taken out from my bank account as scheduled on 4/01?

Yes

An amended return always acts as if the original payment was already made (or a refund was already received) so the result of the amended reflects what ADDITIONALLY needs to be paid (or what additionally will be refunded)

I see that I only need to mail the form 1040-V that is the voucher for payment... so, i do not have to mail the whole packet with 1040-x ? Turbotax already did it?

Perhaps. You are correct if you did e-file the amendment and you received acknowledgement of receipt. If this is the case, send only the Form 1040-V with your payment. Be sure to enter your SSN and the tax form and year (1040-X 2021) in the memo section.

You also have an option to use Pay Online.
