topic Delivery Gigs in Self employed

Hello, both my husband and I started to deliver for Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Amazon Flex. I keep track of our mileage separately on the Stride App. For car maintenance and insurance will we have to split the expenses by half to each of our self-employment incomes? We purchased a car specifically to use for deliveries, is the car payment a deduction we could use? Thank you.

Hi ruiz5621,

Since you have chosen the actual method(not mileage) you can split the actual car expenses between both of you. All of the individual expenses should be 100% according to your actual records.
