Hobby income is taxable in CT. There is no specific exclusion for hobby income in CT. The difference of how it is taxed is mostly federal. If it is hobby income for federal, it is not subject to SE taxes. If it is self-employment income for federal it is subject to SE Tax.

When it comes to the state, all of the earned income/profit is taxed the same. Hobby income would be taxed the same as SE income.

On the menu bar on the left that shows.

Select Tax Tools

On the drop-down select Tools

On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form

This will give you all of the forms in your return

Scroll down to the form you want to delete

Select the Form

Click on Delete.

Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.

Delete the Schedule C and the 1099-NEC you previously entered. Then re-enter the 1099-NEC and on the screen where it asks about uncommon situations, choose the option that says this is hobby or sporadic income (this is not common). The income will go to Schedule 1, Line 8 and will not generate self-employment taxes or schedules.
