It would be illegal to amend your returns for the purpose of obtaining the stimulus payment for yourself, absent another valid reason (e.g., a mistake on the return) to amend them. Plus, if your boyfriend were to amend his return to remove you as a dependent, he would have to pay back any tax break he received for claiming you, plus penalties and interest.

If you were required required to file a 2019 tax return at all, then you must have earned more then $4,200 in 2019. If so, then you CANNOT be claimed as a dependent by your BF. He should amend and remove you before the IRS figures it out and bills him for back tax plus interest and penalties.
