A secured credit card raised mine from about 540 ish to 644 in under a year. I started with $200.00 in September 2019 and paid my small balance every month so to not pay the 23% interest. Last month my credit limit was raised to $501.00 (no idea about the dollar) without any more secured deposit being made. Most will refund your deposit after a year or so and you'll have an unsecured, regular credit card and a much better score. Important! Don't use that card except for maybe 30% of your limit and pay in full every month. Oops, My score went up 3 points. It works. There are many secured cards, a lot of regular banks have them, just ask. I'm not promoting the one I have, just pointing out what worked well for me. I think I'll be over 700 this year. Good Luck!!
