    <description>If I file both of us in AL I owe quite a bit, if I file AL and she files GA (she pays GA State income tax) then its not as substantial.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you are each residents of different states, you will need to file separately for the states even though you filed a joint federal return.&amp;nbsp; Your Alabama resident return will include only your income and tax items, and her Georgia return will include only her items.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To do this in Turbo Tax, please see the following FAQ:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
