    <description>&lt;P&gt;An annuity does not require an RMD.&amp;nbsp; Only IRAs and 401-K type plans require RMDs because they have a cash value.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You would normally get a 1099-R for any distributions you receive.&amp;nbsp; If you did not get a distribution from that account, there is nothing to report.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am filing 2016 tax return.&amp;nbsp; What form do I use t&lt;FONT&gt;o report RMD amount required on annuity if no funds were disbursed from the annuity account?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt; (It should be noted that this RMD amount was satisfied with disbursements from other retirement accounts, but I need to account for amount of annuity RMD .)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thx!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
