You may enter that you are retired for your occupation.

You enter retired and if you are single, then file as single.

I'm retired and Turbo Tax Deluxe will not let me finish my returns because it keeps asking for W2 information which a retiree doesn't have. How do I correct this?

It appears you have a W2 form still in your return that you need to delete. Chances are, it populated from a previous year when you received W2 wages. To delete your W2:

After logging into Turbo Tax
Go to wages and income and select edit
Go to Job (W-2)>review
If there is a W2 listed there, select the trash can icon next to edit and this will delete the form
